About me

I was born in Hull, East Yorkshire and lived and worked there as a qualified nurse in a hospital setting until moving to Brigg in North Lincolnshire in 1998 and then latterly Kings Lynn in 2011.

I enjoy travelling and I have got to know Norfolk through long walks along the coast and in the countryside. I often return to Yorkshire and Lincolnshire so see family and like to spend time walking in the north of England and in Scotland.

My Work History & Experience

Following a 23-year career in nursing I undertook a degree in Law at Hull University and I obtained my LLB (Hons.) in 2002.

I subsequently completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York and completed my training in 2004; qualifying into the litigation department of a High Street firm in North Lincolnshire and then later working in the Family Law Department, working mainly in child protection matters.

In 2007 I moved to a large firm in Hull as part of the Civil Litigation team, working on a varied caseload and specialising in personal injury and clinical negligence, contentious probate, and Inquests.

In 2010 I returned to North Lincolnshire to take up the position of Senior Partner of a small high street firm and continued work in litigation with a varied caseload.

My Time at Ward Gethin Archer

I moved to Norfolk in 2011 to work in a large high street firm and subsequently became a member of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) and increased my practice in contentious probate and inquests.

I remained at this firm until moving to Ward Gethin Archer in 2023, where I continue to work in the litigation department.
