I was born in Durham but grew up in west Suffolk. I live with my partner, our son and cat.
I enjoy the countryside and being outdoors generally. My main passion is cycling. I am also a life-long Formula 1 fan.

I went to University in Sheffield where I undertook a law degree, and went on to study the Legal Practice Course at what was then The College of Law in Guildford. I qualified as a solicitor in 2005.
I have spent most of my professional life working in Ipswich for two regional law firms, specialising in most aspects of commercial property work.
I joined the commercial team at Ward Gethin Archer in 2021 as a commercial property specialist. I became a Director in 2022.
